Haya Chieftain Marksman...a sort of Gepard

I came across this quite by chance, and noted through the search feature here, that there were references to it- so, I thought it worth posting. :)
Notwithstanding the grainy footage, I do quite like the twin smoking cannon effect- a bit reminiscent of a mechanised opium den :D

Indeed, impressive. If you added a orange flashing led in each barrel it would really look good. One thing that baffles me - each puff is pumped out with each firing sound. Is the smoke generated at the time or is it drawn from a smoke reservoir? If at the time, how is it generated so quickly? Anyone know??

It might be using the same sort of tech found initiating the flare launchers, as well as the 'brrrrt' and flash of this A10's gatling gun.

It's also worth applauding Andrew's bravery in going outside the 'safe zone' of model production (predictable money-spinners, that is). He's certainly not risk-averse, to use a modern idiom.
The same can't be said for some folk promising much, and delivering zilch, sadly. :/
A Clark Cromwell comes to mind here. :shh:

Yes, he is a man on a mission and is pushing the hobby boundaries forward like few others. I wonder what he has up his sleeve for his next surprise?

An Arm? :D

...but ...abracadabra...one performing legerdemain
We need more like him. Incidentally, I've not seen features such as these offered in kits from the main players in scale rc Tanks. Then again, maybe I've not looked hard enough. :D

The only other source I've seen seems to be specialist sellers based in China where they offer HengLong tanks with various added features, much as Andrew can and does, but not new models. I know the family ties are strong but does HL use Haya as a prototype testing the water facility or does Andrew use HL on a short run favour basis? Come on Andrew, enlighten us!

I would be delighted to hear from Andrew here. I have four or so models of his, especially, but not only, the M3 Lee or Grant conversions. Hello, Andrew? Keep us drooling. :)

I would not hold hope for any direct contact here by Mr Haya
There was an incident some time ago that soured the relationship and I doubt that time has healed that wound.
Best to contact him yourselves directly as you see fit .

The Marksman turret was actually designed by James Canhan owner of Armoured Models. He built some for Haya to sell.
