So I got a few boards of the E version in the mail yesterday and did a quick test with one soundset. Added russian voices and did a little alteration to the warmstart.

So quick info, the E version will have 8 voices / command. And cold and warmstart function

That sounds really good. I love the “struggling” engine start.

It's +10 dollars over the 'standard' version so for a TK40:
135 for the 'fixed sound' version
165 for the P version ( where you can change sound sets on your own with the Pro programer )

S Support S.BUS interface
L No sound set programmability
P Sound set Programmable ( as in changing soundset using Pro Programer )
E Added soundfeatures ( cold-warm startup + 8 voice-commands)
G2 Support dual-axial Gun Stabilizer
W With presolder wires on main power and motor connections ( TK80 only, and mostly used if having heavy tank / pdsgb gearbox etc )

So as example

TK40 LE ( 4ch version, fixed sound , with the new features )
TK40 SPE ( Sbus version , 're' programable , with new sound features )
TK40 SP ( Sbus version 're programable , )

TK80 SPEW ( Sbus version 're programable , with new sound features , presolder wires)

I know that the TK-50 is supposedly going to replace the TK-40 (Analog to Digital audio IIRC). You can see the board differences near the speaker connections.

In our group we've steered away from the TK-40S in any heavier tank due to the board's Audio amp thermal limit overheating and tripping. Only ever happened on heavier tanks (aka full metal lower Taigens), whereas a HL plastic Sherman ran all day long.

Same thing as the TK-80 replacing the TK-60.

I like the extra voices from the E version. I may have to invest in a couple of those to program for fun...
