Clark or IBU or more?

Hopefully this doesn't start a war in the replies, but which MFU is the best?
With so many options out there, I'm pretty lost..
Which boards allow for: Sound, Recoil, IR, Program-ability and other features? Which units require an additional receiver? And of course, which are the most user friendly?
Any help or opinions are most welcome!

There is no such thing as the best MFU!!!
But there is an MFU that meets your needs...
All aftermarket MFU´s need an additional receiver.
Which Tank?
What functions?

I've been planning to gut a Heng Long and refit it with custom recoil, new gearboxes, metal, sound and obviously an MFU. Most likely a Leopard or Abrams, haven't quite made up my mind.
I've being building and flying RC planes for some time now, so I have some Rx and Tx's around, but they are Tactic STL. Is FlySky the compatible brand?
Really, at this point I'm looking for a general direction.

Beier is the best. But I’m really liking the cs-tk16, it’s even got the ultrasonic esc mojo that gets rid of the motor squealing, realistic acceleration etc. I was pleasantly surprised.

Is it true that Beier still is not Tamiya Compatible Battling capability ? That could be a show stopper for some as most tank club will only allow Tamiya battling standard. \
On the otherhand if you are converting from a Heng Long, IBU is the most plug compatible without additional soldering. Clarks are good especially with their remote control programming and also the MG "hit" functions.

Yes, the Beier boards are still no Tamiya battle compatible. If some people request it, it will be implemented, but it seems most of europeans never battle with the tanks. If battling is a must, as Shagnifico said you can always add a mako

If it is for a HL Leo or Abrams and you don’t want take out a loan I would recommend cs-tk16 with the SWB stabilizer, and the slip ring wiring harness. Basic documentation is available in English.

Also if you don't want to worry about buying a RX, Heng Long 6.1S is actually pretty darn good. Very smooth, with a triple D gearbox it's just like driving a tamiya tank. Supports 3s 12v too.
