Hey guys, i’m wondering if anyone has done a 1/16 tamiya tiger with the king tiger wheel arrangement. Cheers

It's doable, Ludwig does a steel wheel that fits the tamiya with a little fettling (drilling out the swing arms!)

I’m guessing its a bit of an undertaking, i am thinking of doing a hybrid tiger but the 3x8x2= 48 wheels on the early mid sounds easier at the moment.

It's not too bad, nice sharp drill bit and a some lubrication and you'll be good. It's only 0.5mm you need to drill them out so it's not too bad.

I think the taigen late idlers fit so that's a help. Just need new sprocket caps and late tracks (again taigen fit)

I have one to do soon.............its a proper worry !
I was lucky to get one that has fancy hardware with it, but there is still a huge amount of work to do for it to be right.
There is a build thread here that covers a lot of the process, but Im struggling to find it.
The tank had a name & I will be damned if I can find it again :problem:

This will be an unashamed replication for me to do my Italian Tiger knocked out by New Zealanders.
