Hello folks.

Does anyone have any zimmerit for a Henschel turret King Tiger (1/16 scale) they would be willing to part company with? Or can anyone point me in the direction of some?

I have the torro top and bottom halves. I need zimm for the turret, lower front face and rear face of the hull. At a mimum i'd like the zimm for the hull.

I appreciate that this is a shot in the dark. Zimm seemed to dry up ages again. Silly me for deciding to upgrad my KT of old (old build tread here somewhere)

The problem is that the company that makes Zimmerit is in Poland and just before the Covid 19 Pandemic they decided not to sell to dealers but to sell directly to the customer and with covid Poland has pretty much shut down its postal service so no zimmerit,
Of course you could always do it yourself which we all used to do,
There are a lot of examples in the best way to go about doing it on the Forum.

I managed to find a set of ATAK henschell Zimmerit from a random website. However none of the normal vendors had any and it even seems like ATAK has discontinued it.
Also it wasn't exactly cheap!

After doing more work with milliput I would be tempted to do it myself next time.

Just to let you know that I just received some Atak concrete armor for my Heng Long Stug 111.This came from Atak and only took two weeks to arrive and I am in New Zealand. Postage was only 10 Euros. I had previously purchased a Saukof mantlet and some Zimmert which again took only two weeks to arrive so their postage service is working well.John.

Oo! That is encouraging!

Does anyone know which would fit on the Torro hull better? The Trumpeter or Tamiya? I don't trust myself to cut the sheets up to suit. I'd rather trim ill fitting bits.

Can anyone advise which Atak zim would fit best on the Torro KT? They do Tamiya and Trumpeter only. I appreciate that a bit of cutting might be required.

I would go the TAMIYA.
All the HL and derivatives are based on the Tammy versions so that’s where I would go.
