Hello and welcome to my build log

Starting with a part built Tamiya kit that I found on ebay. I'm already in the process of replacing the plastic upper hull with a homemade aluminium one. I cut up the plastic hull into panels to use as a template to make the aluminium panels. I then positioned the new cut panels on the tank chassis and tacked them together with epoxy putty.

As you can see, I also integrated parts of the plastic panels where there is detailing.

Awesome work!!!!!! I have a king tiger I did a a year ago that’s due for a make over. Keep up the fantastic work!!!!!

Stainless Steel shackles (slightly oversized)

Given I'm not going to be painting my shackles, I like the idea of having nice shiny ones on the finished build. These are M4 shackles, the smallest I could find in stainless.

Not really the original mantlet, but a tiger mantlet nonetheless
Actually, to the trained eye, it's a Jaguar, but I can assure you that after some tinkering, it now resembles a tiger.
