Agora Models - What!?

These "Agora" models look like knock-offs of existing models. (The "Agora" was the public meeting place, marketplace, hangout, etc., in classical Athens). These sellers took a full-page advertisement in Fine Scale Modeler, a US publication from Kalmbach, a hobby publisher not so far from me. This is "Agora's" offering of a 1/16 Leopard. (There are also a few cars, a 1/200 Bismarck, a 1.18 WWII airplane, and a SciFi figure.) I am astounded by the prices. For the following costs one could make a heck of a fine Leopard 2A6--or two or three.

1149.88£ plus unspecified shipping https://www.agoramodels.com/leopard/
1379. 88€ plus unspecified shipping https://www.agoramodels.com/de/leopard-2a6-3/
$1494.88 plus $119.40 shipping: https://www.agoramodels.com/us/leopard-2a6-4/

So, monthly parts.
On the British site, it states free shipping.

And that is rub of these "subscription" things. They cost a crap ton by the time you are done building them.

Just watched their video. The thing lurches forward when you fire the gun, and the barrel doesn't recoil.
The only thing going for it is the built in screen on the controller to receive a tanks eye view from the on-board camera.

I think I'll pass at that price lol.

These are snap together metal toys for rich execs. I saw their Bismarck a while ago. It’s pretty good for anyone with really no skills or time for building.

I, too, got a laugh out of the re, unh, procoil? forecoil? Oh, now I know: after the shell loads, the gunner smacks it and the shell falls out on the ground.

same stuff like deaugostini. I know they had a T34 in Russia which was very expensive to built.
