Personally...I would leave the HE as is and sell it on Ebay or some classified ad. Then I would get the HL or Tamiaya static Abrams. But that is just me.

Update:
HL Abrams acquired yesterday!! Grief its a much more 'solid' tank!
I have the Haynes manual on the Abrams and also intend to watch the National Geographic film about the factory where they're built and refurbed so, when I've gen'd up, I'll have a better idea about markings. What's the best Tamiya colour for a sand scheme?

"What's the best Tamiya colour for a sand scheme?" I just did a quick Google Advanced Search with three terms: "Abrams," "Tamiya," and "Sand." Lots of reviews for kits came up with various opinions and suggestions.
