I ask about the width and type of welds because "Archer Fine Transfers" makes resin welds in varying widths and two different types.

I have several sets and hope to be able to use them on my Abrams.

I also have some PE Welds made by Hobby Design.

Top Studio also does PE Welds

I have the Hobby Design set but do not have the Top Studio.

I note shapeways do a 1/16 set with 1mm and 4mm weld seams? The difficulty is knowing how wide the seams needs to be on the model? Welds in differing areas will be differing sizes depending on what was being welded.

These look good! How wide are the 1/16 weld lines?

I finally got my hands on 2 sets of the Mirage 1/16 Copper Weld line sets and 1 in 1/35. I've got to say I'm impressed! They come as a metre long string as it were and you just cut off sections as required. They are the perfect width for my KT weld seems and I'll use the smaller 1/35 for various smaller welds on fittings etc. They will certainly greatly enhance the appearance of the model!

Well, with a little practice and patience (especially the patience) and a 3D-pen you could produce any size weld seam you want... viewtopic.php?p=316098#p316098
