A quick query. Can anyone recommend a source of 7.2v AA chargers please? If Maplins still existed I’d buy a charging Jack for my transmitters as well. Maybe eBay?

Search Google? Why not buy a multi battery type configurable charger that can be used to manage all your RC charging needs? Try eBay for that.

I’m a traditional radio control person, used to 8 cell transmitters. Charging 7.2v C cells is no problem, I’m overrunning with chargers but I would like to be able to charge a 7.2v pack in the transmitter without having to take the cells out! Should be easy enough I would hope but maybe not?

I do the same. If your trannie has a charging socket just use one of your chargers set appropriately and plug in. If it doesn't have a socket, just fit one. Or am l missing something??

The earlier Taigen Tiger 1 came with a built in charging socket which was fitted to the rear panel, It was integrated into the Inertial Starter between the exhaust mufflers.
This kind of fitting is readily available and is an easy fit to most Transmitters.

Agreed, it’s straightforward. But any idea where I can get a charger from - and a socket for the transmitter?

As above....BUT if you are going to charge various transmitters take note of the polarity of any built in charging sockets, as they are not all the same polarity...Spektrum for instance has the polarity reversed on the charging pins.
I believe most are center pin + but Spektrum is center pin -

Thanks for that - I normally expect the centre to be positive to. My Tx's are either Taigen or Heng Long so I hope they follow convention!!

None of my many Taigen or HL tx have recharge sockets.
