LUCKY ? OR JUST TAKING ON A PILE OF WORK ?

G'day folks, had a one-off chance to get hold of a Tamiya Tiger 1..................................
Woo-hoo for you they all say.................. :/
But, this one apparently has :
Impact adjustable torsion suspension
Impact Late tiger metal roadwheels & arms
Impact sprockets & Idlers
Impact steel gearboxes
Some kind of magnificent metal barrel with brass brake
Late style Impact hull sections(with the cut-outs around the tow shackles) behind the final drives.
And its brand new (but not in the box) unpainted, not completed, parts still on sprues.
It did have Impact late tracks, but the guy I got it off has kept those. It has new Tamy plastic tracks.

AUD$500(thats about 17 cents/pence in real currency :/ )
Is that a good thing or is it a world of setting up & work?
I dont know anything about the impact stuff at all.
If its a good thing, I would like to make a good example of a very late/last production post 1944 Normandy(or other Western Theatre/Italy ) Tiger.

I'm interested in any advice (good or bad) on this combo and what if anything is required to set the entire thing up right.
Remember, Im a H/L or anything else 'rubbish bin project' tragic, no where near a Tamiya 'Horologist' !

Appreciate your collective guidance.
;)

Don't believe them Herman, It's rubbish but because I like you I am willing to make you an offer and not a horsehead in sight,
I am willing to sacrifice a tenner (£10) just to save you the embarrassment of owning a clunker :haha: :haha: :haha:
You know you can trust me ;) ;)

It also has Schumo driver and radio mans opening hatches.

I will get pictures of it asap, but its not much to see really. A box full of bits, and a very loose hull with the suspension inside & gearboxes fitted.
Has a full set of transfer markings, and all wonder of other stuff I havent even looked into.

Whats the worst that can happen eh ;)

Good Morning,
I was never fond of Late War Tigers until Jackalope sold me his and I did a rework and detail job on it. A Solid runner as the changes made to the vehicle's running gear IRL carry over to the model ones if built correctly. I will be following along ( as usual ) to see your Build, Herman.
regards,
Painless
