HL King Tiger 3 year transformation

Hey guys,
I decided to post my King Tiger's transformation step by step on here.
It was my very first tank, so I made many mistakes which cost me a lot of money and time ('Lehrgeld', as we say in Germany (literally 'teaching money')), but after all I learned a lot throughout the build and can now say that my tank has turned out really nice.
So, it looked like this after I made a first attempt at modifying it (only cosmetic changes at first; the metal parts were added much later when the plastic parts wouldn't take it anymore):
Now in hindsight it's hideous, yes.
I hope the images are visible... this first post is kind of a test one.

Not long after that though, I wasn't quite pleased by the looks anymore.
So I tried a Wash and some painting (the Wash was way too light):

After that, it was still quite hideous...
But I was really proud at the time!
Not for long again tough. I 'washed' it again, and the Wash actually showed for the first time.
I was on my very first RC event back then.

That was when it first started to look somewhat ok....

Then, after displaying my tank in the Deutsches Panzermuseum at the 2019 Rc tank event there, I tried some chipping and added a lot of cosmetics.

Well, then the serious stuff started.
I got myself a metal suspension: Wheels + lower hull (just no metal tracks... an additional 60€ for that would have been too much).
Then I added weld lines to the tank (yeah I know: too big and actually there shouldn't be one around the commander's hatch...).
I also modified some other minor things, like the optics (I just forgot the correct English word... these little mirror things the commander, driver etc. can look through).
Tomorrow I'll post the painting pics. Posting so many pics takes a lot of time...

Great improvement, we all started somewhere and I’m sure we all got better by practice and research.

We were looking through those when we picked up the tank shells, and oh wow, it is a wonder they could tell where they were going, it really is a small visual aid

Merci Jofaur86, maintenant je sais comment cet appareil s'appelle en francais, mais je voudrais savoir comment il s'appelle en anglais.
I'll post the other pics later, I think you guys will like the outcome.
