I have been building models for 50 years, I am an electronic engineer and I have a simple philosophy if I cannot buy it I design and make it.

Interests are R?C 1/16 tanks and 1/96 warships and N gauge trains which I design and 3d print.

And welcome to you! Electrical engineer is going to set off some beautiful sparks on this list. We'll be eager to see your wizardry (at least it's wizardry to me).

Welcome to the Forum!

Nice set of tanks you have there! Electronic engineering; is as the good Herr Dr. mentioned, wizardry to me too! :wtf: But it should come in very handy with this hobby! Good to have you aboard!

Cheers,
Eric.

Nothing exciting, these are both based on Tamiya kits with additional etch parts. They use the Tamiya VCU and action controllers which are adequate especially when I compare it to the Hooben VCU for the Ferdinand I am currently working on, which will require an upgrade.

Thank you for the introduction Mr Snowwolflair

You'd get on well with my missus, she's an ex electronics engineer, I try, but I'm buggered if I can understand what's she's going on about sometimes lol. Mind you, that's probably the norm with most things she talks about :haha:

At least we now know you'll be able to follow what some of the members here are talking about when you get the answers you seek

And that's a nice pair of beasts you have on display, thanks for sharing.

Enjoy the forum, hopefully you'll stick around to teach us a thing or two

David will do :D

The Snowwolf name comes from a Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine regiment I created for my son and I use it for continuity across several modelling forums.

Ok, David it is.
Hmmm, I have a Space Wolves army, my missus bought it for a birthday present many many years ago
I used to frequent the one and only shop Games Workshop owned in Hammersmith London, after they acquired a few more shops I had a chance to purchase shares in said business, but, I declined at the time, oh, I know, very foolish :{

Welcome, David
Not many include a Tamiya Panzer IV in their intro. 8O :)
I see that you're also a fan of 'Really Useful' storage boxes. I have loads of them, in various sizes. Without them, at least one room in my house would resemble the Local refuse centre. :/ :D
Electronic wizards are always welcome. We have in our ranks, an array of wizards that outdoes 'The Lord of the Rings'...
