Hello All.
Does anyone know what was in the wooden boxes on the rear deck of a Pershing?
Been looking online but can't find anything.
Hope someone can help.
Thanks. Jo.

Thanks for the info. I couldn't find it anywhere. I knew they were too small to be shell crates, I hadn't thought of rations. The great thing about this site is the amount of knowledge pooled together by the members. Thanks again. It probably won't be my last question. Jo.

Be sure to add some tie downs over the ration boxes Jo, you'd be surprised how many people just stick them on without a thought of how they would have been secured on the real thing so they would not fall off while travelling :thumbup:

Cheers,Lee.

Ahem, Guilty! What's an easy way to make 1/16 tie-down straps?

Good Morning!
Scale rope can be had from ( what Herman calls the 'Cheap Shop' ) or what I call the Doll House section of Hobby Lobby. If you go into the leather working and beading section of said shops, all different sizes of leather straps can be found. Add some ABER or VOYAGER clasps and you have scale tie downs. Let your inner Modeler go wild at these shops!

Thanks.
That would definitely have been one of the MANY mistakes I'd have made :{
Kind regards. Jo.

Embroidery yarn seems close to the right size, and its a range of colours too.
Mr Frankie put me onto that.
As Mr Wolf mentioned, your local "cheap-shop" should see you right.
I use the term cheap Shop as your chain or local version of there would have a certain name you recognise.
But a bead or sewing shop will carry embroidery yarn for sure.
