Re: Ludwig Cromwell
Bit more done. I decided to build the upper hull while I’m waiting for tensioner to arrive, I don’t want to put the outer skin on the bottom untill all the suspension and tensioner are fitted

Re: Ludwig Cromwell
So I haven’t done anything as such other than fully install the hatch, the reason I am bringing it up here how ever is I was looking at rec’s Cromwell build for some suspension tips and happily found them, but whilst looking I saw several references to a pin vice.
So I have bought one and discovered it will make installing and cutting pins for hinges making grab rails etc etc far easier

Re: Ludwig Cromwell
So I decided today to do more on the Cromwell. It started well got all the holes filed to take the axels assembled to sets of suspension arms and did a test fit with the outer hull sides, then I turned my attention to the upper deck. Again added some parts did a test fit.
Then I started on the intake. Which is where it all went wrong after I noticed I had put it on wrong

Man, OUCH!
That sucks for sure and I know as I've been there!
Puts a real damper on you efforts especially if your right handed.
Hoping you heal up soon so you can get back to it.

5 days they say. Fortunately I’m left handed. Though I do quite a lot of the building right handed. It won’t stop me though I will still be working on something tomorrow. Just nothing involving a knife I think

Commiserations, EB. I've been there as well, with that gut-churning unwanted gush of Kensington Gore.
I always keep a well-stocked first aid kit nearby, and lots of surgical spirit (usually single-malt ). On the bright side, this will give you the opportunity to plan your next build step- and hopefully one that doesn't lead to a hospital visit (especially with the hated Covid lurking). Maybe invest in some butcher's chain-mail. It's great stuff. All the best in the meantime.

Dear God!
That doesn't look very good! I can only imagine the geyser of viscous, crimson fluid that issued forth! I too have been down that path, thankfully not for a longtime though. Heal up and carry on! As my Uncle once said in Anzio: "sprinkle some damn sulfa on it, and hand me back my M1"!
Regards,
Eric.

Well in having not learning my lesson and refusing to be beat. I got the dremmel out and got revenge on the offending mistake.
I won this time.
Then I started the turret
