Hi Folks,
Which manufacture's Panzer III provides the best "canvas" for a detailed build of an early Panzer III, DAK?
TIA,
Barry

You have to be more precise about vesion as early Pz III have different sprockets and idlers. If you look for budget option Heng Long Tauchpanzer III would be good start.

So DAK was around 1941? So a Panzer III Ausf J is likely the starting "early" variant.

Thanks Jarlath! That's exactly what I would like to do (one day).
Thinking about starting with a Taigen, Pz III kit.

I have the Taigen alloy+ ABS hull, Barry, and it's a wee treasure for the money.
I also have the Tauchpanzer upper for it, but want to make it interchangeable with a StuG 111 upper, of roughly the same period- so that it's two for the price of one, in effect

....... Without- that is, going into the sort of superlative, and accurate, detail you're likely to indulge in, and enthrall us with.
I shall look forward to seeing your meticulous handiwork applied to a WW2 favourite
