Just read this article about the Jerrycan (No idea how I ended up there)

Interesting how a simple thing like a fuel can could make such a huge difference in a war.

I love information like that! I’ve just learned so much about Jerry cans and how well engineered they were!

Fascinating article, Woz

I guess many people of heard of them, seen them- even used them; but I wonder how many know anything about the Jerrycan's history, and importance?

Finding a can is easy, finding the detachable nozzle in original condition to match not so.
Years ago I had a German jerry can, and a British one that was an exact copy (it was broad arrow marked) years later I stumbled across a nozzLe that fitted both.
They were used in my old land cruiser as rough as was possible to be treated and neither ever failed or leaked.
Wish I still had them now
