Was this actual version of the T-34/76 and not just a one off prototype?

Barry this is really interesting heres a couple I've found while researching my captured t-34/76
I had no idea they existed aside from the converted German version.
Much like the KV-1 E with added armour plates

Thanks for looking into this Barry. I'm a huge t-34/76 fan, especially the oddball that comes up

Apparently the side plates were able to be removed and slide in and out...
Quite a menacing piece with all the rivets and shielding

Thanks guys!
Carl,
I also like the T-34/76 over the /85.

I want to build one using the Trumpeter kit on the Taigen lower. I also want to build something not "mainstream" but not as extensively modified as the Abrams.
This 1/35 kit from Border Models might be just the reference needed.

Good news is it looks to made using flat plate which will be pretty easy to duplicate!

I've been wanting to do the same thing - build it in 1/16. I saw this kit previewed and have been waiting to get it to use it as a reference. I also play World of Tanks and this vehicle is in the game. The fabrication shouldn't be that hard as most of the work is flat plate.

Seeing that I have a T34/76 1942, T34/76 1943, SU-100, T34/85, and an SU-122 conversion kit all on Taigen hulls waiting to be finished I'm a bit partial to the T-34 variants.

Have you found a US source for the T34E kit? I had looked at Andy's Hobby Headquarters and they are all sold out. Ebay only has Chinese sellers at this point.
