Hi All.
I've been lurking the boards for a few months and decided to take the plunge and introduce myself. I'm from Leicester and in the words of my 8 year old daughter ' Daddy likes tanks, beer and his trumps smell !. '
Been modelling 1/16 armour for longer than I care to remember (nearly 20 years) - currently have a few Tamiya's (4), Taigen (4) and a couple of 'non-standard' units (Vandra AEC, static Maus, Goliath, etc).
My collection is in a constant state of flux, as I build, admire and then sell, prior to the next project.
Seems like a very friendly bunch on here so looking forward to contributing and continuing to follow the expert advice and guidance, which I find really invaluable.
Regards
Chris.

Welcome and Good Morning, Chris
How's semi-Lockdown in Leicester going?
Anyway, I'm amazed that you've kept your interest in tank modelling to yourself for so long, without joining some sort of fellow enthusiasts' forum. But, now your oot of the closet, perhaps you can post us a few pics of your shifting array of armour, before you flog some of it off.
I won't ask you what it is you eat to offend your daughters nostrils and olfactory system so much,
but you'll find quite a few fellow beer and spirits aficionados on the Forum.

Hello and welcome to the forum Chris
Or rather, hello and welcome from out of the shadows
We always love to see pictures of members models, therefore you are very welcome to treat us to some visual delights
As for booze, I'm one of the few that doesn't partake in the make the room spin ritual.
I guess I'm 99.7% tea-total (yep, spelt incorrectly because I'm a tea-o-holic)
Anyway, continue enjoying the forum.
Mick.

Being from Leicester - I'm partial to a hot ruby - hence the after-effects
I work in the NHS - which is why I take solace in alcohol
I've got loads of piccies of my gear - is there an easy of posting without the Photobucket process - post/upload directly ?
Chris.

If you can get the pictures below 350 kb, you can post direct. Otherwise you'll have to use either imgur, or download the tapatalk app.

Hmmm, I've worked indirectly for the NHS, therefore I may have been the cause of some heavy drinking amongst the staff
I'm one of those noisy builder chaps
Many years ago, I had to demolish a part of the renal unit at St Helier hospital in Carshalton, and build a new day room for the unit.
And there I am, busy breaking concrete one day, minding my own business, when I'm approached by a couple of hospital officials, who asked me if I could be quiet for a couple of hours. Not because of the poor nurses trying to sleep in their nurses quarters after a long night working, not because some poor patients have had some rough sleepless nights, not because of the delicate, difficult surgeries that were going on. Not even for the poor admin staff trying to cope with difficult admining.
Nope, none of that, it was all because David Bellamy was in the renal unit with a film crew, trying to film part of one of his programs lol.
They allowed me to watch the filming, it was pretty boring, but their tea and cake trolley made up for it
