I tired to contact Erik from taigentanks but he still does not respond - hope he's well
I need to convert V3 Torro/Taigen KV-1 from Airsoft to IR, found the parts I need just need someone to brief in to make sure nothing is missing and whether they'll fit KV-1 model:
Taigen Infrared Firing Unit, LED Flasher, & Mounting Hardware
High Intensity Flasher not sure, whether I need to upgrade the kit one...

the infrared system connects to CN2 and the xenon flash to CN3

Someone from Taigentanks briefly got back to me and told that the it has to be specific KV-1 sized firing unit only (one out of 4 requests being answered so far).
I have no idea who's answering but can rate their support as: "I'm so tired of all this, please leave me alone"

Hello Jofaur,

I think in toshik's post he is referring to the person who is answering his email questions at taigen tanks who seemingly can't be bothered to give an adequate answer in his view, I don't think that you have upset toshik at all

Once again I was told that KV-1 requires a special (it's own) size IR device and regular one (Tiger 1) won't fit without major filing

Some models even require their own special IR compatible mantlet, as part of the conversion. That's because mountings for he airsoft gun generally don't match those for recoil units.
Thus a conversion kit for a Tiger 1 from BB to IR/Recoil often includes all the bits needed- including revised mantlet, and is generally catered for.
I've not seen such a kit for the KV1/2. Yet, anyway.
Doubtless, modifications can be made- but the process will be fiddly. Another option might be, an IR configured turret:

This would help significantly, as it should fit your Taigen upper hull, I think. Wiring differences should be minimal. (Click on image to ENLARGE it)

Since I'm new to all this I try to avoid making mistakes like ordering wrong parts etc.

I no longer follow, the infrared system is the Mushroom in the hatch of the tank commander and the infrared led on the mantlet? like other tanks? ou alors i missed a few things
