Greetings friends who I don't actually know, I have come to share with you a great mystery, an intriguing tale of love, betrayal, and... Ah, who am I kidding? This is just something I noticed and have never seen mentioned.

This mysterious switch hole I found on my Heng Long Panzer III L, located behind the tracks, I looked it up, and every video I've found on this model had this switch hole switchless. So it seems to serve no purpose other than to let water and mud inside. Which judging by how dirty interior was when I got it secondhand, is probably why it doesn't run, meaning the weeks I spent causally tinkering with the insides was for naught. Which I suspected but still persisted because I am a stubborn man. But aside from the poor way in which I elect to spend my fleeting time on this earth. I've now started to wonder what this thing is actually for, an upgrade perhaps? A scrapped feature that didn't make the cut, but was left in to avoid having the redo the whole mold? One can only wonder. Or perhaps not, because despite my brains insistence of being the most intelligent of mortal men, I know very little about this stuff. So perhaps I've missed something key.

On old 27Mhz Heng Long tanks there was a switch to choose model depend on crystal frequency (to run three models in one time). When 2,4 Ghz was implemented it was no longer needed but molds of hull stays the same. Just fill it with rest of the holes ;)

it was also for the smoker switch on the RX13 and RX14 boards, both out of production for the last 10 years...

The HL Sherman also sports a 'mysterious hole' in the chassis floor. :O
The enigmatic words 'On' and 'off' appear either side of it. A wee bit of investigation, by qualified cryptologists, might reveal that the 'on/off' switch is now an electronic one, and it's on the transmitter. :D

SO THAT'S GOTTA BE IT! That's my controller! I got the HL "Multi Function Unit"(Which will be pictured below), which I'm pretty is the 27Mhz unit, this missing switch has gotta be what's wrong!

Which means I'm buying new parts regardless... May as well upgrade to 2.4GHZ if I'm gonna do that. Oh well.
