WW2 US Infantry Uniform colours

Not strictly tanks, but I hope someone amongst our knowlegeable members can help me. Some time back, when I was painting a US figure, I found a website which gave a list of suitable Vallejo paints. I thought I had it bookmarked but now can not find it. When I search, I can find a selection of pages, each of which seems to differ wildly from the next. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I shall be very grateful. What I am after is Vallejo colours for jacket and trousers. I realise that a definitive answer is not possible with the number of actual uniform changes that took place. I just want the jacket and trousers to be from the same period

Perhaps this page will be of some use, Richard.
The author gives his own authoritative-sounding take on the colours to use- specifically from the Vallejo range.

Thank you. I will study it. It would be something different. It is not the one I found before. That one had more of an olive drab for the jacket.

Hi! I've used this guide when I repainted my Torro figures, it's .pdf:

Couldn't agree more, Jim (but I'll try

). I'm happy with my scratch building skills, and even some basic airbrushing-
but, I've not yet attempted figure painting. Seeing such accomplished work here (

) makes the prospect all the more daunting.

Still, it's good to see what
can be done to take us beyond the infamous 'Crazy Joe' (or Verrückter Josef) HL once supplied.

Congrats, Kaczor

Thanks guys. I'm still struggle in case of faces

Other than this painting is straight forward. Base colors using Vallejo paints from the link above, Vallejo game color flesh wash for faces and hands, Tamiya dark brown wash for everything except face and some drybrushing with ligter colors.

Following the guide lines, this is how he finished up, barring a little more work to the face.

He's even in need of some 'Seven O'Clock Razor Blades" (if you can remember them) , Richard. A tricky detail to paint, and well done.
Truly, an accomplished piece of work there

You should give yourself a pat on the back! .....If you can reach that far these days.

I know I creak when I attempt it.
