I haven't had a whole lot of time to get up to much lately, so I decided to do a 'quick and dirty' project just to keep things moving along.
I had a spare one of these knocking about from the abortive RSO project: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Light-shock- ... 0005.m1851 and discovered that its about the right size for an M29 Weasel.

Yes the wheels are wrong, but I don't care. And as I'm using George Bradford's drawings as the main reference, it ain't going to be all that accurate anyway :/

I picked up one of these to drive it with:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UK-1-8Ax2-Du ... 2749.l2649
Not sure how good it will be, but it'll be a damn sight cheaper than a robot ESC like the Scorpion Mini, and doesn't need anywhere as much omph. Still waiting on the main body to finish printing in the meantime.

Be interested to see how it works

Quick test drive:
phpBB [video]

not sure if its rubbish motors, rubbish ESC or rubbish battery, but its not driving as well as I would like. Its also throwing a track on one side which needs some attention - but what do you expect for the price :haha:

Added a lick of paint and some flanges to the idler to try to stave off the track throwing problem

Next stop, gloss varnish and decals...
