Hey everyone,
My first post on the forum and wanted to introduce myself.
Im a complete novice to the R/C hobby, but Im a very competent modeler/painter.
Professionally I run several large format 3D Printers and develop various prototypes for consumer products.

I enjoy Military History and have more 1:35 Tank model kits than I will finish in a life time.
As much as I love my AFV kits Im a little burnt out on small scale static models that collect dust.

I have wanted to jump into RC Tanking for a few years now and have finally taken the plunge.

My first "RTR" Tank purchase was a Taigen Tiger 1 (scratch and dent).
It was the perfect spring board to get "rolling" and pop off a few airsoft BB's for immediate gratification. Ive had it about a month or so.

Since buying that one I have accumulated several parts for my next builds:

StuG III - (currently have the Mato Metal Hull, Metal Idlers and Metal Winterketten) - Hopefully I can cobble together an all Metal build here.

KV-2 - (currently have Taigen Metal Chassis, Torro Upper Hull and Torro air soft Turret)

...........and I dont expect to stop here. I need a Sherman M4A1

Im sure I will have dozens of questions along the way. sound cards for example - I saw a Tiger with German voices shouting tank commands - this is a must have! no idea how to do it.

There are many things I hope to do and Im excited to put it all together.
Glad I found this forum.

Cheers everyone!

Welcome to the forum. Your interest in upgrading your tank’s sound effects is most commendable however requires some aftermarket electronic purchases. Your Tiger will be very fun to modify to your satisfaction. Glad to have you aboard.

Thanks Jimster!
Yeah, super excited.
Ill grab an ELMOD for one and a TK for the other and see where it all takes me :)
Should be a lot of fun.

I use a TK 80G2 in my Leopard 2A7+ For the GBS feature. They’re good boards for modern tanks.

Welcome! The Taigen Tiger got you 'rolling', but it's already forming- it appears- the typical avalanche of upgrades, and whole tanks, that the hobby engenders, :D Enjoy!
Incidentally, does the 'scratch and dent' purchase indicate that you are US based? A basic location for an individual member, can assist in them being provided tailored tips, and recommendations.
