Challenger 2 or not.

The country that invented the "Tank" is officially deciding whether to upgrade (The last upgrade was in 1998) the remaining 227 Challenger 2s of which about half are serviceable with a new Turret and Main Gun or just get rid of the MBT in the British Armoury,
I think I might just belay buying a Heng Long 1/16 Challenger 2 and wait till the sale of the real thing comes on the market.

So true. Our Challenger is an automatic. All horsepower but no firepower.

And that Jimster raises an interesting point,
Certainly some Tanks had a driving position in the middle but the WW1 British Mk 4 which is usually acknowledged as the First effective fighting Tank started a trend with its left hand drive and upto WW2 most Tanks whether British, German or Soviet were left hand drive then came WW2 and still the practice continued with the Soviet T34 and the German Tiger and the American M3 and M4 all left hand drive BUT come the peace the Soviet T72 the British Vickers Centurion the German Leopard and the American Abrams were/are all Right hand drive.
I have to ask what made the rest of the Military world finally understand that Right hand drive makes sense

Yes, that IS very interesting.
Hey look! Here’s a map showing which countries drive on the right side of the road (green) and which countries drive on the wrong side.

I guess if you’re driving a tank you drive on whichever side you want

I didn’t know those countries had roads...........Oh hell, just kidding.
I was looking at a website called Earthcam today which has cameras all over the world that you can view in real time and I was looking at the one showing Abbey Road (where the Beatles crossed for their album cover) and the cars and trucks (lorries) were wizzing past and I thought to myself, “I would be dead in a few moments if I had to drive around in England” Way too confusing for this colonist!
