Re: Another Heng Long StuG III build
Hell yes! I always enjoy seeing the seldom modeled armor. Unique but historically correct models are my favorite.
Re: Another Heng Long StuG III build
Actually, I never have build hystorical correct models.
I just like making different things, not the usual units most builders like to make.
The fun for me is building a model, and if possible as cheap as possible. Use stuff laying around, but certain part you can not avoid buying.
I do have a spare set of aluminum Schürzen, so I might make 2 different types, 2 different tactical numbers. One set in 3 color camo, the 2nd set in a 3 way camo but with partially white wash on them.

So I could make one set of Schürzen like number 723 in the 3 way camo, and the 2nd set like number 730.

Re: Another Heng Long StuG III build
Might take a while before it will be finished.
First I have to wait till my 1.4mm screws come in from China. They are at the Dutch customs since August 18th.
Incredible how long it takes to get those € 5.00 worth things through the customs.
With those screws I can secure the row of brass support stuts onto the fenders.
I also intend securing the little brackets on which the skirts do hang, with screws, just to prevent them breaking off while driving outdoors if I hit something.
As I mentioned, my lovely wife did order the moveable, metal, transmission inspection hatches, which also must come from China. Might take a fortnight or so.
so, in the meanwhile I just have to be patient I guess.
