Coincidentally One of the units I served in had the German Eifel/ Belgium Ardenne area as its defensive zone if the Soviets had kicked off,
So we exercised in that part of Western Europe 9 months of the year.
Still lots of Dragon Teeth and Pill boxes from the last unpleasantness to drive into in the middle of the night
The Bastogne "Nuts" Museum was worth a visit.
In the Summer it is one of the most beautiful places in West Europe but in November it is fogbound and depressing,
Being forced to wash and shave at 6 in the morning in the snow by a martinet of a WO2 left permanent mental scars which is why I loath camping

Was that two Dragons or one coming round twice?
Either way it was a sight I did not expect to see

The French Army were using Panthers up till 1947,
The British supervised the production of the last JagdPanther's and Panther's in Germany immediately after the European War,
These were transported to the UK for trials,
A few examples of these brand new vehicles being sent to Bovington Tank Museum.
