With a little bit of planning you could fill the next 20 years if you do Tiger 1 early of the month then Tiger 1 Mid of the month then Tiger 1 Late of the month then we could go to Panzer 4 of the month,
One month for each version, that takes care of 9 months followed by the Pz4 variants to finish off the year, and all the different Sherman versions should see off a large part of another year,
That's just 3 types,
And then come the Trucks, :lolno:
I was thinking why not have a competition named `oh perhaps " Tank of the Month" where people who like taking photographs can send in a picture or two of a recent build for the delight and approval of like minded members of the Forum to vote on ?
Mick I do think this virus is producing some unexpected symptoms,
Have you seen your Doctor recently :haha:
Perhaps because I have never taken part in this exercise in self flagellation I am better able to see the shortcomings where instead of the entries you presently display which are loved or otherwise for the overall wonderment of the build by the members of the Forum it would become an exercise in nit picking.
IE- (The Early had its tow ropes transposed unlike the later Tiger 1 early etc)
Trust me disinterest would follow pretty quickly.
An exercise for geeks and "Experts"is not my idea of entertainment.

Come on Shaun, you know full well I've not got such extremes in my mind

And I think it's you that needs a straight jacket more than me :P

I just thought it would make a change to have the most popular model on the market showcased for the odd month, hoping it would bring out some models hiding in the woodwork, Tiger 1's of all manufacturing dates in one comp.

It wouldn’t have to be all catogories every month. You could alternate. German one month allied another truck and half tracks another, or something along those lines.

I have no problem with the original proposal but l do like the current format as the regular monthly competition as it's always interesting to see what's going to be entered and variety is the spice of life isn't it?

Lets word it another way. . . .

What do you guys think about having a one off Tiger 1 Of The Month this year in this coming September?

And if it's successful, then thinking about possible "specials" next year.

Thank you, and as we all know, it's not always that easy to get enough submissions with the current format.

I too like the current format, also it seems to work.
I just wondered if the odd "special" would be to people's liking.

You guys are forgetting man rule number one. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Tank of the month is fine just the way it is.

It ain’t broke so don’t fix it. But a few specials through out the year can’t hurt. A tiger month. A modern special perhaps and so on

I'm not trying to "fix" it, just wanted to coax those Tigers out of the undergrowth.
