Ok so i wanted to finish off a model i had thought about for a while, so last week i modelled the 95% of the model from when i last thought about it a while back.
First test prototype printed today and ok its not perfect, but i am really happy with it
So over the next coming weeks i will fettle it and get it sorted so can make more sturdy.

Then my list of things gets smaller, Autoart police cars 1/24, Willys Jeep, DUKW, Schwimmwagen, Panther parts, some more artillery and fun things

There is a bit more work to do on the shield as i want it to fold like it should, but being soo small its going to be tricky not to lose detail for being robust with working hinges.

The tyres will help bring this little thing alive aswell.
Because of the size of this thing, a 1/6 version will be along soon

Most excellent addition to any 1/16 (or 1/6) battlefield

We are busy printing 2 of these in 1/6 also

The tyres are just temporary until we get that better sorted.

Next ones to print will feature higher res printing for smoother finish and the shields will need to be adjusted to close the gaps slightly.

The track width has already been narrowed as the springs used for suspension made it a little too wide. But i am really happy with it

Just a thought if you print the upper part of the lower shield thicker and the lower part of the upper shield thicker then perhaps something like this might do the job-----

Good idea. The lower shield between the wheels folds up and down already by doing exactly that. So it can fold up for transport. I am working on some options for the top shield. I have designed some micro hinges which use 0.8mm wire. But not got there yet. But I do plan on having the ability to fold them down. Up until now I just have cut the shield so i can glue in up or down position.

I have those hinges already, but they are huge for the scale haha. I keep my fingers crossed.
I will say the 1/6 version is alot easier hahahaha
