Hey everyone, I just stumbled on this cool site and had to join. I'm a history nut who collects militaria, military themed toys and like to build and paint models. I've had a 1/6 21st Century RC Stuart just sitting in the garage collecting dust with the intention that someday I could rip it apart and make it more historically accurate and not so toy like. Well with this global pandemic slowing all of our fast paced lives down, this is a perfect time to start a project like this. From what I've seen on this site, there are many very talented people with an abundant of knowledge. Bill

Welcome to the forum Bill. You say you love model making but don't mention Radio Control. What sort of RC stuff do you do?

I haven't jumped into R/C yet and just deal with static right now. I know N.J. has a ton of millionaires but I'm nowhere's near one.
The cost of living and taxes keeps us common blue collar working class folk from getting ahead. My old man used to say that " I'm working on my 2nd million $$$ because I gave up on my 1st $$$"!

A warm welcome, Bill! At least blue collars don't show up 'tide marks' in the way that white ones do.

The RC side of modelmaking can be very absorbing and, if managed carefully (with solid advice),
not too expensive. If you have time to spare, though, the hobby with happily take it all

Good morning Bill.
Welcome to this highly addictive hobby from a fellow stateside member in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
The knowledge and skills exhibited (and shared) by members of this group are amazing. Feel free to ask questions, have fun, and enjoy the hobby.
Frank
Ps. I have an RC Stuart that I would be willing to part with for a very reasonable price.
