Hiding in plain sight...

I've been vegging out on Israeli made 'Fauda' (IDF vs Hamas) series on Netflix, and kept seeing the helmet cover, or 'Mitznefet' used by the IDF.
Here it is: (do Click on pics to ENLARGE them!) I'd often wondered what purpose it served. Helmet covers are nothing new, but this one suggested to me that soldiers must have a problem with beehives, or nasty wasps nests in the Middle East.
In the event, according to Wiki, my bee-defence cover has been shot to pieces. In reality: "....as of 1994. It is considerably larger than the helmet, with a similar appearance to a chef's hat. The purpose of the floppy helmet cover is to break up the distinctive outline of a helmeted head and thus assist in the camouflage of the wearer..."
So, not a camouflaged chef's hat for the IDF catering corps, either.
This got me looking at the camo theme in general. Here are a few oddities I discovered, and they may be of use for novel diorama setups, or unusual tank camo profiles. Do feel free to add any others. Here's a Leopard that looks like it had just taken out Becher's Brook, at Aintree. For those unfamiliar with the Grand National, it's an ancient Steeplechase horse race run annually since 1839, over mountainous fences composed mostly of fir branches. It was cancelled this year because of Covid. Normally, only a War will prevent it from being staged.
Here's a well-disguised jet: Here's a moss-covered tank. Apart from the disguise element, it has been found that APC shells stop just short of the tank, to laugh in disbelief. This is a Greenpeace approved model.
as the sustainable herbs grown on it, can be used to flavour otherwise tasteless K Rations.
