Personally I'd start with a heng long. My experience has been they are very toy like, you can upgrade and have more with a basic Heng Long or Taigen of you want metal

That sounds like good advice.

If you are looking to make a conversion I would expect even your Hobby Engine could make a decent basis with some good quality upgrades.

Good morning,
The Forums very own Tankbear ( Ian ) did a bang up job upgrading and turning Hobby Engine tanks into real RC worthy Armor. He kept my original Abrams running years after degraded tracks and broken gears should have sidelined it.
