Yes, any relevant bits of info are welcome  I will also include tank dimensions, and compare them with those of rival models (Taigen, HL, Trumpeter and so on...). Any alternative wiring arrangements (for lights, smokers etc.,) also welcome

If you're used to the HL/Taigen stick settings on your transmitter (TX), i.e. drive controls on the right stick, and turret/Cannon functions on the left, then using the standard Tamiya (Futuba) 4WYD 4-ch TX, you'll need these settings:-
Tamiya Channel positions To Futuba 4ch;-
T-03 TX Futuba RX
Turret (Ch 4) to Ch 4B
Rudder (Ch 1) to Ch 1
Thrott. (Ch 2) to Ch 3
M.Gun (Ch 3) to Ch 2

For 'rudder' read- steering, and 'throttle' read 'drive.
You can use this on the Carson 6-ch unit supplied by Tamiya/Carson: Simply put, that's:
Tx (Transmitter) RX(receiver)
1 1
2 3
3 2
4 4

Re: Tamiya tank availability in the virus-hit world. Looking at Tamiya Europe and the Americas, I note the following for 'full-option' models:
The: Abrams
Jagdpanther,
and Tiger 1, are no longer available from the Factory.

From model listings, the following former models have vanished completely:
JS-2
KV-1/KV-2
Pz IV Ausf J
Panther
Sherman 105mm
Sherman- M51 IDF
Sherman 'Easy eight' (M4 A3A8)
Factory supplied models (meaning available, I guess- if ordered)
Jagdpanzer IV Lang
JGSDF Type 10
königstiger
Leopard 2A6
M551 Sheridan
Pershing M26.
What puzzles me slightly, is that the Jagdpanther was officially declared obsolete last year, but its image is still present, where the Panther, Sherman, etc.. have vanished completely.
When, and if, the global microbial crisis and global economic crash are resolved, there's no telling how this picture may change.

And you really shouldn't use them unless you want your gearboxes to eat them selves at the first sign of an obstruction

Hi Tom and rest,
i want to say your right.....at the weekend ther was an other memebr how also use this gear reduction in heavy terrain in a tiger 1, after one hour the original tamiya gerabox give up and one gear broke.....so i also think not good for a lot of driving and heavy terrain......

Folks, I have an old T-03 DMD and whatever the other one is out of a King Tiger. All I want to do is run the gearboxes and rotation .
I also need a servo elevation.
I think I can get all the others but where do I plug in a servo 3-pin plug to make it work for elevation?
Doesnt seem to be any place for a standard servo to take a signal from.

Appreciate the guidance.

In your receiver. There no servo outputs.

But if using normal self centering sticks, it will self center.

There is a place called EXT-1 on the DMD unit, is this a servo power point by chance?

:) Herman, Hello,
it is not possible to connect a servo to the Tamiya electronics. There is a system made and sold by a US modeler I think, but I have to find the site!! otherwise there is a solution with an HL module or Existing Taigen, I'm looking for the info and share with you. If not on your X-ray as suggested by rad?
