I think the T34/85 makes for a very nice entry level tank, actually it's a great tank period. I'd also consider the Sherman

this is just my opinion. I'm sure everyone has different suggestions. Both tanks seem to be very well recieved and I own both and they are ultra reliable out of the box

I decided to go for the T34 in winter scheme, looking forward to it after my Mato fiasco at least the spares seem easier to get hold of
Thank you again for taking the time to reply

I have the 'metal edn' Torro/Taigen T34/85. It arrived in its very own wooden sarcophagus... almost like a Pharoah

Anyway, it's very well built, and has a very neat interior arrangement. Luckily, its performance matches
the promise of the exterior. On the subject of the exterior, I really like the cast 'pitted' look of the turret especially. Having seen several full-size T34/85s in the flesh- well, metal, I can confirm that's a pretty good representation of the real deal.
With or without the crate, it's a truly excellent choice! One of the best

I have the Taigen winter Camo T 35/85.
My only problems are;
The wheels are yellowed. And the battery in my one is a Ni-MH version, that is smaller than standard, mine came with a 1700 mah battery. I tried to get a longer lasting one of the same size, and all the component shop could make up for me was an 1800 mah Ni-MH, so there was no point getting one. The interior needs to be rearranged to squeeze in a sensible sized battery.
Other than that, it runs quite well, although close to the control of a Heng Long.

Mick I have no idea of the interior layout of the T34/85 but if the side of the inside of the hull is free of obstructions why not stick a sheet of velcro on the hull side and the back of the battery and that way you have room for a meatier battery.
