Tyre warmers on RC racing cars

These guys are obviously quite serious if they are into pre-heating their rubber before a race. Awesome skills and rhythm clipping apexes around this track.
The red one certainly had amazing pace. Then again, I always found scalextric pace to be too quick to be truly realistic. The level of control has to be gawped at, however. 
I just wonder what the scale speed of these supercars should be.
I guess the equivalent of tyre-warming in RC Tank terms, would be lighting small fires under the models in winter.
