I want to scratch build my next 2 British if anyone who has done so can provide me measurements for them. It’s cheaper than buying kits and I would say more satisfying.
Though I haven’t scratch built anything yet
What do you want to build?
Either Churchill III or Cromwell.
I could go centurion aswell.

They are 3 that I know of where I can access metal wheels tracks and gun barrels

Or perhaps even a comet.

As I said I have never done a scratch build so perhaps which ever would be best fo a first

I would suggest to go for the Cromwell, no strange cast turret and an quite easy suspension to make.
best way to start is to buy a 1/35 scale kit and start measuring that.

Following a discovery just made I have decided my scratch build will be a cromwell.

My theory is thus.

The crusader and Cromwell are both cruiser class tanks.
So I looked at some photos and discovered the are both on the same lower hull.

That being said. I should be able to use the measurements or copy the lower hull of my crusader and build up the top to fit. Hardest part being the turret.

Can anyone confirm my theory?

I think the Crusader is a bit shorter & narrower: not it's by enough to show though. There may be other subtle differences too.
