IR lights for late panther

Has anyone made the IR system for the night fighting panthers or just buy?

It might be simpler just to get the Asiatam kit, Ronnie. Then again, you might try to make your own setup from the pics on the Asiatam website.

I've just fitted a set to my Panther F, resin cast from the US. No assembly instructions or picture guide but after a while Googling l found enough pictures to assemble it correctly! It must have made the commander's hatch a bit cramped but if overworked then it must have given them a useful edge. The unit is fixed to the same positioning card as the figure so both are easily removed to fit the IR apple.

General Jumbo Have you a good pic of the unit attached to the hatch, was that unit not for the G. The F has a mg post fitting in the forward position giving more space as it sits further forward ( a german site says that the F was designed for IR use).

The mount is circular and just a thin blade si it doesn't intrude but leans out forward. I have actually refitted it since the photo and given the commander more space.
There are a few photos of the unit mounted on an F and they look the same but, since the F never became operational you can't be sure who fitted the unit, why or when! Looks interesting anyway
