Some other good places to get shim stock are from Grainger (sp?) and McMaster-Carr. Both have websites online and will sell to the general public, even though they're mainly geared towards commercial customers.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!
