3D printing from Sketchup.

Hi everyone.
I have been experimenting with Sketchup (the free use version) recently, trying to design parts for my churchill build. I wanted to know if anyone on here has printed anything made on Sketchup and if so, how hassle free the process was. I know it can be done on the full version, but I am unsure if it works with the public use one. I find it fairly intuitive and easy to use when compared to other programs that I have tried like Blender and Openscad and would prefer not to relearn another program. Maybe I'm over thinking things, should suck it up and just learn Openscad like everyone else:think:
Anyway, thanks for any advice.

I'm using only Sketchup for making models for 3D print. You will will need few plugins:
- Sketchup to STL
https://www.guitar-list.com/download-so ... dxf-or-stl
or similar
- Solid Inspector2
https://extensions.sketchup.com/es/cont ... ctor%C2%B2

Anyone have any plans to co develop RC tank models? From videogame models like from world of tanks and war thunder.

I used those tutorials to take models from War Thunder
I don't have 3DSMax so I use this tutorial:
But tere is lot of work to make printable object from those meshes.

another place where we could get the direct rips from WoT and WT would be:

and

It's free for one year...
...which can be easily renewed - I'm on my 3rd year with the product.
The 1 year thing is currently just a "we can terminate this offer at any time" get out clause if they decide that they need to change their offering to differentiate between non-commercial and paying users. Last year we lost the ability to form collaborative teams on the non-commercial licence - no biggie, I can still export an archive of an assembly for somebody else to import into their workspace. I'm expecting some of the structural analysis and CAM functionality to get taken out as well, probably also the ability to do drawings - all stuff that a commercial operation would value, vs just us hobbyists who want to model and print.
Extracting models from Warthunder or WoT to print
is copyright infringement however, so I will be staying well clear of that.
