Please inspire me!

Having just purchased a HL Tiger 1 just to get hold of the new V6.0 mfu and attachments, l find myself with a plain early slate grey Tiger 1 to play with and would like to camo it, but.. retain the plain grey as a base colour.
I could give it a mucky winter white wash for the Eastern front but I'd prefer something more original, like a subtle camo pattern or even something more dramatic. So, any suggestions, preferably with pictures to explain your ideas? Thanks in advance

Not sure if this will help or not, I typed “sexy German camouflage ” into google & this came up....

Nice, but l already have one just like that. I've laboured over Google images but nothing inspired me - there's plenty there but its all what you'd expect and l fancy something grey based but different, unconventional but acceptable. Jimster is the closest, different greys.

This is quite a pleasant take on the winter Tiger theme. The problem with the grey Tiger 1, according to out visiting Tiger Boffin, David Byrden, is that in reality maybe only as few as 30, of the 1350 produced, were ever painted with a grey base. Realistically, a winter camo is probably the way to go, or grey with a secondary coat of red/brown or dark green...or both.

The problem isn't so much what to do with an early Tiger, but with buying donor tanks.
I bought a donor Sherman for my putative Firefly project, but took an inconvenient shine to it (
), and am now reluctant to butcher it. If I bought yet
another 'burner' Sherman (no pun), the fear is that it might win the same reprieve.

Now that's the sort of thing l was thinking of - thanks for posting the photo. For once I'm not too bothered about copying a prototype so I'm prepared to go a little bit funky! Maybe similar to your example but with a few more shades if grey (NOT 50 though!)..
Donor tanks...yes! I've never been a fan of the Tiger 1 - a bit boxy, overweight, but my first one l bought to get my hands on the then new v5.3 unit to use in a King Tiger. It never got there! The same goes for this new one. As you say, its easy to grow fond of models that didn't turn you on! I confess that Liz Hurley did it for me at first glance

Hmm.. but I've never thought of acquiring a Liz Hurley Mk 1... in winter camo.
