Hi!
Does anyone make parts that can transform the Taigen 1:16 IS-II tank into an earlier model?
Taigen IS-II tank is model 1944 and earlier version is IS-II model 1943 which have a different shape of the front of the hull and turret.

Beware regarding naming conventions when dealing with Russian armour! But yes, there is the earlier shape IS-2, Taigen's model often referred to as the IS-2m. I was not aware of any difference in the turrets, just the hull frontal section which was stepped.
I've not seen this shape in 16th but maybe someone would be up for printing one? Otherwise, Forgebear often stock spare IS-2 top hulls which you could modify. I have one that will one day become a ISU version.
Good luck finding a solution.

Thanks for the answer.
Yes, this IS-2 M designation refers to a post-war modernization program when the IS-2 tanks got new fenders and other changes were made too.
Perhaps it's better to say that the IS-II tanks built during World War II were model 1943 and model 1944.
I found an IS-2 tank model 1943 line drawing and when you look at it, you notice that both the hull front and the turret gun shield (the gun shield is narrower) are different when comparing them to the 1944 model.
Which online shop sells Forgebear 1:16 IS-2 tank hulls?

I think you'll find the m designation is different from the M one. As l said, beware!! You'll find different stories on different reference sites. Still cannot see any turret differences. Either way, looks like Dave at Forgebear has a DIY solution.

There is a small problem here...
That Hull is a different model than what I'm looking for.

Picture 2.
is the same hull as this...
Picture 3.
and I was looking for a 1:16 scale model tank with this kind of hull front...

When you look closely at this picture and compare the shields of the two tanks to each other, you will notice that the other is wider and different in shape.
