So I recently bought a taigen panther g and am converting it to an Ausf A. but when I looked at the wheels, they didn't line up with the idler or the sprocket. they stick out about 2-5mm as you can see in the pics, any ideas on what to do to line them up?

Hi, from where I stand they look OK. Honestly I don't have a panther. But I'm sure Tiger works the same. The middle row of the road wheels should align with the idler. It looks from the pics that it does.
Misalignment manifests as wrong operation. Track binding below the sprocket. When they appear to go up when driving forwards. Easy slipping off going backwards. Slipping off the idler on turns. Is any of that present?

I absolutely agree with RenoirV, The wheels are supposed to look like that,
If you look at the Tigers front sprocket it is set well inside the track as is the rear idler.
The problem that needs addressing with the tracks on the Panther and the Tiger is the tension,
Never make them too tight,

Thanks for the replies, I'll make sure the idlers are aligned with the center wheels, as they can be moved in or out a tad.
If you like I can open a separate topic which shows the conversion from the G to A if that's of any interest?

Just checked my Panther and the problem is the idler arm, its an inaccurate arm that is only supposed to fit the Taigen Ausf G self cleaning idler by the looks of it, the early idler you are using is built to fit the heng long panther with a very basic fixed idler arm
The sprocket seems fine to me
I might be able to get you a set of custom Idler arms that I will be using for my Ausf D

In a nut shell, the teeth on the drive sprocket need to line up with the holes in the track. Normally the tyres of the road wheels should line up with where the holes are not!
