I tried to go to that link and I got a box that said Verizon and Yahoo won't let me access their site unless I allow them to put cookies in my phone to track my location, along with other things. Screw that. I don't need to see it that bad.

After all, aren't all plastics derived, ultimately, from evil oil products?

Even all the eco products (wind turbines, solar panels etc..) owe much to the carbon industries. But they conveniently forget that.
That probably applies to the knickers they're wearing, and getting in a twist, too.

...as well as the smartphones these use to organise protests

Electric cars still require steel, and smelting steel requires coal...and so on.

Yes, but oil used to be living things (animals, insects, fish, and vegetation), and coal used to be trees. Perhaps the eco warriors should be reminded of that.
