Heng long improvements

Just a bit of fun. I have recently got a v6 heng long tiger. Obviously it’s a massive improvement over the earlier models with the old 27mhz radios. They have got rid of the horrible track recoil and the slow speed driving is loads better, plus of course choice of sounds. My question is what would be your wish list for things for heng long to improve on with future models. For me it would have to be the horrible headlights with the bulb sticking out at the front.....

Remove the second aerial stowage tube and fix the turret mislocation on the Tiger 1,
Allow a 4/5 degree slope on the engine bay of the Panzer 4 and please sort out the abortion that is laughingly called a suspension.
Make metal hulls available across the range of Tanks.
Get rid of those terrible decals and provide relevant water slide alternatives.
That's for starters.

And fit quality motors/gearboxes, hobby standard radio separate from the mfu, increase the range of models / variations. But apart from all of the above..... They are okay :) l suppose..

percy1510, you're aiming too low, jarndice and General Jumbo01 have basically summed up the necessary stuff needed. Although, Taigen now cover most of their wishes, apart from not improving the top hulls and staying backwards with moulded tools.

Oh yes moulded on tools are terrible. I suppose that’s one area where heng long are good. Would definately be great to see a bigger range of models. A Cromwell would be amazing

Given that this is something of a niche market, I guess we have to be grateful for small mercies. :|
Still, If Tamiya can get the Tiger 1 and Panzer 4 details to pass muster, why can't Heng Long, or Taigen, for that matter? If it's worth doing at all, then it must be worth doing right. Given the (alleged) Chinese passion for acquiring intellectual property by less than honest means, you'd think they'd just counterfeit Tamiya's moulds and injection processes.
Wish list-wise, one improvement would be to produce some British tanks. They made a pretty good job of the Chally 2 (Tamiya didn't even bother), but a Centurion would be- surely- a world-beater

Don't forget Cromwell, Churchill, Comet, Chieftan and Challenger (1?) - I'd buy them all :D

So would I, and many British enthusiasts too, but would the rest of the world? Sadly what they produce has to appeal to the world market to max sales.

And once more the Vickers Conqueror is consigned to the specialist pages of a very few books of reference.
Shame on you so called enthusiasts :haha: :haha:
