When attaching items to the sides of tanks, do you guys glue? (if so, whats the most reliable brand?) do you drill in and add small metal bolts? I am working on a M4A3 Sherman 75mm.

For authenticity I add footman loops or similar and straps for bags etc.

Whenever I am able I pin vice then Tap a thread (Using a "Rolson" Tap and die set)and drive a bolt (
http://www.prime-miniatures.co.uk ) and whenever possible put a washer and nut on (
http://www.modelfixings.com ) supply "Nylocs" down to M2 which saves using threadlock,,
Some items that fit on the side of a vehicle body are just too heavy to rely on glue alone to hold it in place,eg the metal Aerial and metal aerial base on a PZ4 Ausf H/J which mounts on the rear left flank,
A pin viced hole through the open side of the aerial base then into the Tank body, Tapped then bolted into place,
With the aerial in place the bolt head cannot be seen and the assembly is secure.
And of course later on you can disassemble your Tank much easier if everything is bolted together rather than being superglued.
