I just got mine today from Andrew at Haya UK and I paid 440 pounds all in which is about $565 USD including two British tankers. I did get charge $33 CAD for duty which is okay by me. I think MatoMart Canada is still more expensive. One of the reason is the UK VAT which N.A. don't have to pay.

Ordered a regular version from Mato Mart with the Christmas Free Shipping offer, a significant saving. Strangely, the Chieftain for Canadian customers is at CAN $648 (which is about US $483) while it is more expensive at US 540 for US customers. I guess these might be due to Trump's tariff. One could basically make a profit by reselling these.

One of your images near the top shows a standard brushed motor / gearbox combo but this one shows a pair of brushless motors and in line gearboxes. Which come with what tank version?

Don't think that gearbox comes with any version. Had a look at them , 200-250 euro for a set . A German shop sells them but cant remember the seller.

I know you can get similar barrel reduction gearboxes for Tamiya 1/14 trucks that give you various ratios to about 6-1 but you'd be looking for much higher reductions than that. They sell on eBay, as does just about anything!

There are a number of companies building that type of gearbox,
Probably the best known being ETO, These are for various Tamiya Tanks but they are hellishly expensive,
DKLM make similar gearboxes for Taigen Tanks,
A bit cheaper but still outside most peoples range.
My recent purchase of the latest HENG LONG Steel gearboxes from Dave have shown me that large sums of money can be saved if you are prepared to take a chance.
Well specced, quiet running and very good value and probably the easiest pair of gearboxes I have ever fitted.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

I have a set of the HL sealed CNC gearboxes also and they are very impressive. I may adapt the set I have to fit in the Chieftain since they came out of an Abrams chassis. I've been wanting to try one of the DKLM RC gearboxes, but price and shipping costs have stopped me. https://www.modellspiegel.com/ makes an ETO style inline gearbox and that looks like what jhamm is using.

Hello,
the Gearbox is Modellspiegel....

Made some progress, the turret cleared:
Image

The BB shooting unit was removed and the recoil servo 180° rotated reinstalled.
The spring had to be stretched by about 10mm.
This is necessary because the servo arm does not stuck in the marked position:

The barrel back in place and a LED for second Machinegun installed:

The Open Panzer TCB in place:

A little eternity later, the barrel elevation servo is installed, the electronics for muzzle flash,
as well the wiring for the MGs, search and battlefield lighting, etc ..... and the Bendini Mini Sound Module:

Turret bottomplate in place:

The speakerbox in the chassis give more rigidity:

Stay tuned....

Very nice, thats a neat looking system everything in the turret . Was wondering about the motor controllers . Is that why you can have the board in the turret?
