Good Evening
Does anyone ever install a recoil and elevation system other than Tamiya on the MF01 module

Yes.

All the time, usually a Clark recoil or DKLM unit on a TK-22 control board

Are you talking exclusively to the Tamiya MF01? Something other than the kit provided recoil and elevation system?

The Tamiya system uses motors for elevation and recoil . Elevation should be easy with any non servo elevation unit. Recoil will be harder. Gears and a return spring , the gears will pull barrel in then the spring will return it to the firing position . Its making a gear system with a cut out in the gears to enable spring to work and reset gear position . Much easier to buy the proper recoil unit.

Also you need to take great care with a recoil spring, as the circuit that drives the motor can't handle a lot of current and tends to blow if there is too much resistance during operation.

Thank you for the answer :
But the Tamiya system is expensive and not easy to fit on a Taigen ?if an idea ?

Are you looking for a recoil solution for a tank using a Tamiya MFU, or a Taigen unit?

Short answer.
Tamiya recoil and elevation units will work on a Tamiya MFU.
Servo recoils work on any of the aftermarket boards. Eg Clark, IBU, Elmod, TCB etc.
Taigen and HL recoils work on the tanks that have the required PCB.
Making recoils work on anything that it wasn't designed for is a lot of work, and should only be attempted if you understand electronics.
