Seems like we had quite the discussion going on that phrase a while back.

I've even gotten the wife to use it a time or two!

You need to know the full phrase, "Bobs your Uncle , Fanny's your Aunt".
To our colonial cousins it is roughly akin to "Piece of Cake".
In more modern British Parlance "It's a Doddle" or just "Doddle".
