After moving house last year, it took a while to get out and actually run one of my tanks again. This was at Rhoose Point in South Wales, a perfect place to trundle tanks around.

My poor KT which weighs a ton was running on Nimh batteries that I have had for donkey's years, and although fully charged 4300mah's, they have lost all of their power, I was getting about 15-30 mins out of them, after which even the slightest incline saw the tank grind to a halt and cut out. I'll change the connectors on the tanks, and switch to using my 2S Lipo's now.

Sunshine, good company and tanks...we'll have to do it again soon.

Looks like you had a good day Rob and the weather was on your side I was gutted I couldn't make it down as bully messaged me on Friday evening about it but I already had work booked in for yesterday has anyone been down to Happy Jake's yet to see the task of the work ahead ?

We discussing Happy Jakes, trying to get a decent sized workforce together is like trying to get blood out of a stone. I might try and get Bully to simply pay a visit to the site, no work involved so that we can see what needs to be done. Rhoose is great, but to swap tanks etc is a long walk back. At Happy Jakes we can park right next to the battlefield.

I got the multimeter out. Batteries weren't drained? Took the upper hull off turned the tank on and started wiggling wires. It's the damned switch. Wires are soldered on ok, but the internals must be duff, as there is an intermittent contact. Tried resoldering, no joy, swapped for another scrap switch which was also duff, so will have to get hold of some more new ones.
