If you want to connect little wires but can't cope with crimp connectors etc.

How about these. These are for household electrical work, but are versatile enough for many more electrical wiring solutions.
Anyway. There is a video about the connectors on this page. The 4mm versions will take stranded wires down to 0.14mm and solid wire down to 0.2mm. I've used these many times, and they are really easy to use, reliable and quite compact.
